GCS3®
Revolutionary Virtual Camera Control
Gamecaster's patented GCS3 virtual cinematography system enables users to film animated scenes the same way they would shoot live action -- by looking through the GCS3 "viewfinder" and panning, tilting, trucking, craning and zooming the virtual camera in real-time with real-life camera hardware.
The GCS3 features include a stylized form factor, inertial motion sensors, two proprietary controllers, and a color HD LCD. The GCS3 can be mounted to a tripod fluidhead and panbars or a shoulder mount for hand-held operation.
The GCS3 hardware is integrated with leading animation and game development software, including Autodesk® Maya®, 3ds Max®, Epic Games' Unreal Engine® 3 and Unreal Matinee. The GCS3 is a plug-and-play USB computer peripheral that dovetails with your existing camera layout pipeline, and does not require you to invest in numerous pieces of motion capture equipment and construct a tracking volume in which to operate (however, the GCS3 easily integrates with motion capture systems if necessary or desirable).
What's more, using the GCS3, sports camera operators can shoot the action at video game tournaments on the game's playing field, from within the game itself. This remarkable advance enables sports directors to block multiple GCS3 operators within the game and call a multi-camera live switch of the virtual battles, consistent with standards used in compelling real-life sports broadcasts.
